Housing modding, and iPod touch disassembly tips

Currently, I'm in the process of creating a new housing for the iPhone 4 by modifying the housing of a Nokia Lumia 800 to fit the iPhone. As of today, I've created an opening that the iPhone's digitiser fits snugly into, and began filling up holes left behind by the original components within the housing.

The overall aim here is to have an iPhone that totally stands out from the crowd. It'll use iFixDirect's glowing apple logo mod, and will hopefully feature wireless charging using some Powermat hardware. With any luck, by the time I actually own the iPhone, the iOS 6 jailbreak will have been released to the public, and so I hope to be able to do some low-level tinkering with the device.

On another note though, I recently took apart my iPod Touch 4th Generation, and broke the home button in the process. So, a tip for those wanting to disassemble theirs - make sure you don't break the home button assembly, and make sure that it all works before applying the screen adhesive again, otherwise, it's a pain in the a** to work with. Also, there seems to be a plastic substances covering the solder points for the battery, which makes it much harder to replace. Finally, when reassembling the iPod, if a white screen pops up instead of the Apple logo when turning back on, just put it into restore mode, and take it back out again - the screen works again! (found this out thanks to an iTunes error - turns out they can be useful after all).
